Main goal of the project was to optimize more than 100 traffic controllers of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. The first step was to visualize and archive the existing traffic control situation (signalgroups, greentimes, cycle times, offsets). And then to optimize (co-ordination, offset, cycletime, split) this controllers, by using specialized software as TruTraffic. Signalplans for different clock periods (morning peak, peak-off hours, and son on) were included in a report.
