The PACT-H2 is a three-year project funded by Interreg Greater Region program and the European Union (FEDER), with a total budget of 3,001,795.60 €. The project unites 27 partners across the Greater Region, including key local actors such as Creos Luxembourg, the University of Luxembourg, GPSS, and Luxinnovation.

Building on the region’s industrial heritage in steelmaking and metallurgy, as well as the potential of repurposed fossil fuel sites, PACT-H2 aims to construct a robust regional ecosystem dedicated to hydrogen. The project contributes to the sustainable energy transition through targeted awareness campaigns and the cross-border coordination of hydrogen strategies, ecosystems, and activities.
Specifically, the project will:
1) Harmonize regional hydrogen strategies and establish a permanent exchange platform for government ministries
2) Develop communication formats, such as dialogues with citizens, to increase public acceptance of hydrogen technologies and to target specific groups
3) Evaluate the awareness measures implemented and draft an acceptance guide to be integrated into the joint strategy.
Role of LuxMobility
Together with IZES, LuxMobility is leading the work pertaining to the scientific evaluation of awareness measures and the development of the acceptance guide, which includes identifying and engaging with external stakeholders and conducting public perception and acceptance analyses. Additionally, LuxMobility will develop a digital dashboard to enhance the visibility of actors in the hydrogen sector and support broader communication activities, including the coordination of awareness-raising measures.
